With the new construction of the "Polyfinder" plant, MGG Metran is taking recycling to a new level. We were responsible for the complete electrical equipment – from hardware planning and control cabinet manufacturing to the commissioning of the complex sorting technology.
A large sum was invested in a modern plant that takes the separation of mixed materials at MGG Metran in Kematen to a new level - the new Polyfinder plant. Innovative technology combined with a combined analysis process offers completely new possibilities for separating materials.
Already in December 2021, the Polyfinder plant was integrated into everyday factory life at the MGG Metran site in Kematen after a nine-month construction and test phase. The term "poly" comes from Greek and means "many". Thus, four methods are applied simultaneously to optimally design the separation process of the waste stream.
The plant combines color sorting, near-infrared camera, laser object detection, and electromagnetic cameras. Through the sorting of waste, raw material recovery can always take place, thus making a significant contribution to the environment.
Our task included the entire electrotechnical implementation, including hardware planning in Eplan P8, software creation in the TIA Portal, as well as the manufacturing and installation of the control cabinets.
